Sensors¶
We use a number of sensors to provide safety features.
Tunnel sensors¶
We have a sensor on each of the tunnel entrances. This allows the system to detect if the tunnel shutter is open fully. If it detects that a tunnel shutter is not fully open, then it will drop the previous signal to danger, and display an error.
Level crossing sensors¶
The level crossing has pairs of light beam sensors. The beams are shot across the space where the gate opens at a height that as soon as the gate is not closed the beam is broken. This allows the system to detect if the crossing is not closed.
In the event that the crossing is detected as open the system will not clear a signal that routes a train via the crossing.
